Finding college baseball programs at the NCAA, NAIA, and Junior College levels

Researching and finding college baseball programs across the U.S. takes some effort. Listed below are a number of different resources you can explore to help you start building your list of target college programs. Once you have a target list, you’ll be ready to begin engaging with coaches directly.

Here are quick links to the homepages of the various collegiate levels:

  • CCCAA - California Community College Athletic Association
  • NWAC - Northwest Athletic Conference (Junior Colleges)
  • NJCAA - National Junior College Athletic Association

Below are some resources that let you search and filter by specific criteria so you can build your target list based on what’s important to you:

FieldLevel

FieldLevel is a recruiting service that has a set of free services, and a premium subscription offering that students/families can sign up to use.

One of the elements available for free is a tool that allows players to search for baseball programs using filters like level (e.g. NCAA Division III) and by state. The results for individual schools have links to those schools' athletics page from which you can easily get to the baseball program website and contact information for coaches.

Princeton Review

Princeton Review provides a comprehensive college search tool that you can use to filter down to specific college baseball programs based on different criteria (e.g. Division II or NAIA, in certain states, in rural or city environments, etc.)

To get the most out of the Princeton Review search tool, use the “Filter Your Results” widget in left column, and start by scrolling down to the “Sports” filter so you can start narrowing down your search by baseball level, and then add other filters in the widget to help build your target list.

The Baseball Cube

TBC provides a simple online tool that lets you search by NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division III, NAIA, and Junior College governing bodies CCCAA, NJCAA, and NWAC.

Once you select a level (e.g. NCAA Division II), you can click on the “reg” column on the far right to sort schools by state.

American Travel Ball Alliance

ATBA has a simple state-level search tool that lets you click on a state and easily see the breakdown of college baseball programs by NCAA Division-I, Division-II, and Division-III, NAIA, and Junior College. While it’s not always clear what schools the logos are associated with, clicking on the logos takes you to the websites for those baseball programs where you can learn more about the program and coaching staff.
