Scholarships and Grants Terms and Conditions

Statement of Purpose

Next Play Education, Inc. ("Next Play Education") dba MyNextPlay.org may provide financial assistance in the form of “Scholarships” for students to access services that enhance their college readiness, or “Grants” to high school sports programs that support college readiness for students. In addition to financial assistance provided to students, Next Play Education, Inc. will deliver content and services that help guide students during their college planning and recruiting process.

Scholarship Applications

Scholarship applications may be submitted by students via the online application form available at www.mynextplay.org/apply. Students may also submit a physical application form (at their own expense) to:

Scholarship applications must be submitted or postmarked by the following two dates to be considered:

  • March 31st of each calendar year for “Scholarships” that facilitate attendance at summer recruiting events during the immediately subsequent period from June 1st through August 31st
  • August 15th of each calendar year for “Scholarships” that facilitate attendance at recruiting events or participation at local training and development organizations during the immediately subsequent nine-month period from September 1st through May 31st

Scholarship applications will require information requested on the online Scholarship application available at www.mynextplay.org/apply. For an explanation of the personal information practices of Next Play Education, please review our Privacy Policy If you are not comfortable with these personal information practices please do not register for or use our Services. Your submission of a scholarship application is pursuant to our Terms of Service. Please review and become familiar with those Terms of Service prior to your submission of a Scholarship application. Subsequent to the initial Scholarship application form submission, Scholarship applicants will be required to submit directly to Next Play Education, Inc. via email or mail (at their own expense) two additional elements to complete their Scholarship application:

  • Activities, Awards, and Honors. Provide a summary of all school, employment, community, family support, and religious activities in which you have participated during your high school career. 
  • Statement of Purpose (100 words max) Write an original statement that describes why participating in your sport and gaining access to one of the recruiting services selected above is important to you.

Scholarship and Grant Distributions

The total number and aggregate dollar amount of Scholarships or Grants delivered each year will depend on the amount of net revenue generated by Next Play Education, Inc. through its various fundraising efforts. In most cases, individual Scholarships and Grants delivered to high school student-athletes and to high school sports programs will be less than $2,000 per Scholarship or Grant. The Next Play Education, Inc. Scholarship program will be promoted to high school coaches and programs who in turn will be encouraged to share the Scholarship opportunities with high school students and their parents/guardians from their community. Next Play Education, Inc. will not provide educational loans.

Scholarship recipients (“Scholarship Recipients”) will be selected (subject to available net revenue funding availability) by the Board of Directors of Next Play Education, Inc. following each of the two Scholarship submission dates listed above. Distribution of Scholarship Funds (“Funds”) on behalf of Recipients will occur between Next Play Education, Inc. and the “Service Provider” that delivers the approved recruiting showcase event or the approved local training and development service.

Grant recipients (“Grant Recipients”) will be selected (subject to net revenue funding availability) by the Board of Directors of Next Play Education, Inc. no later than December 15th of each calendar year. Distribution of Grants on behalf of High School Programs (“Programs”) will occur between Next Play Education, Inc. and the Programs selected to receive such Grants no later than December 31st of the same calendar year in which the Grant was awarded to any Program.
